The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) delegation to Nepal led by CPNE President Syed Faseih Iqbal returned here on Tuesday evening from Kathmandu by PIA flight after completing a five-day tour, says a CPNE press release.
During its visit, the delegation met the Nepalese weekly and monthlies editors and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with them and also met Nepalese Premier Koirala and the Nepalese ministers for tourism, information, and foreign affairs.
The CPNE delegation was earlier given a warm send-off at the Kathmandu airport by the office-bearers of the Nepalese weeklies and monthlies editors, and Pakistan Embassy officials.
CPNE President Syed Faseih Iqbal thanked the hosts and the Pakistan Embassy officials for the wonderful welcome the delegation received throughout its tour of Nepal.
The delegation comprised the following: Syed Faseih Iqbal, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Aamer Mehmood, Mahmood-ul-Aziz, Javed Meher Shamsi, Syed Muhammad Munir Jillani, Mumtaz A. Tahir, Ghulam Akbar, Anwer Farooqui, and Khushnood Ali Khan.-PR
