Judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Javed Iqbal, in a suo motu action, has directed to issue notices to the Secretary Health, Government of Punjab and Provincial Police Officer Punjab to appear before him in the Chamber on June 26 at 8.45 am.
He has also directed them to submit report regarding illegal detention of students in Nursing Hostel, Mandi Bahauddin. The suo motu action was taken on the news item broadcast on different TV channels, said a press release on Tuesday.
The news item was regarding the illegal detention of the students of nursing school at Mandi Bahauddin by the school authorities for about eight to ten days, due to the reason that they had complained against the school authorities for providing sub-standard food, deduction of money from their scholarships to arrange a function in honour of EDO, who is going to perform Umra, and forcing the girls to attend a private function and perform dance there.
