KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Tuesday having 48523.41 points with a negative change of 156.75 and volume of 77,483,370 shares.
High and Low were 48685.59 and 48490.39 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 218,176,380 shares with 371 total traded companies out of which 150 were up 196 were down and 25 were unchanged.
COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 34,162,300 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 24,010,600 shares.
The three top traded companies were Azgard Nine with a volume of 19,056,500 and price per share of 12.74 (1.00), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 15,012,000 of price per share of 52.03 (0.26), Engro Polymer with a volume 8,866,500 of price per share of 25.65 (1.22).
The top three advancers were Philip Morris Pak. with price per share 2473.80 (117.80), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1396.50 (66.50) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 2170.00 (50.75).
The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share of 2789.86 (145.98), Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 2165.00 (85.00) and Hinopak Motor share of 1576.53 (73.47).
