Workshop on garment industry held

UNDP is sponsoring on gender promotion and poverty reduction through training in garment and clothing sector of Pakistan. In this regard a two-day workshop on 'competitiveness of Pakistan's garment industry' was organised by UNDP on June 15 and 16 at a local hotel to built the capacity of private sector to increase its market competitiveness and gender balance among labour force.
The workshop was organised in collaboration with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and KSA/ Technopak. During the workshop the project management unit of UNDP arranged an memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Readymade Garment Manufacturing and Exporting Association (Prgmea).-PR
