First convocation of Dadabhoy Institute: world-class university in Hawksbay planned
Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education held its first convocation since it received its charter in 2003. The ceremony was held to honour the batches of students graduating in the last four years in MBA, BBA, BCS, B Tech, BTech (Hons) and Law etc.
The Convocation was presided over by Chairman Board of Governors, Abdullah Dadabhoy while Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim was the chief guest on the occasion, said a press release issued on Sunday.
The chief minister in his address congratulated the DIHE administration and students, who received their degrees in the first convocation of DIHE. He said the youth is the architect of the nation and much of the progress of this nation was in their hands.
He asked them that the education they had received would certainly play a vital role in their prosperity. Referring to the women education, he added that it had been comparatively neglected in the past but now it has started picking up and very much salutary / positive result are being achieved in this regard.
"We have doubled our efforts in teachers' training programmes and the benefit is going to all the districts of Sindh." He highly appreciated the efforts of Sindh government, under the leadership of the Education Minister, Dr Hamida Khuhro, is making every effort to transform the process of education at all levels.-PR
