KARACHI: On Wednesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 48636.78 with a positive change of 97.72 and volume of 33,236,590 shares.

High and Low were 48767.44 and 48512.33 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 72,876,230 shares with 310 total traded companies out of which 171 were up, 121 were down and 18 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 12,106,000 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 8,845,950 shares.

The three top traded companies were Power Cement Ltd.. with a volume of 5,936,500 and price per share of 19.40 (0.12), Sui North Gas. with a volume 5,149,500 of price per share of 134.50 (4.79), Aisha Steel Mill. with a volume 4,153,000 of price per share of 22.85 (0.19).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 2389.00 (113.76), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2090.46 (99.54) and ICI Pakistan share of 1165.00 (20.11).

The top three decliners were Unilever Foods with price per share of 6100.00 (150.00), Philip Morris Pak.. with price per share of 2054.00 (107.15) and Pak Tobacco per share of 1325.00 (40.00).
