KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Friday having 49006.76 points with a positive change of 472.53 and volume of 95,760,350 shares.

High and Low were 49050.51 and 48534.23 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 234,954,710 shares with 378 total traded companies out of which 279 were up 90 were down and 9 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 29,530,300 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 25,426,100 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill. with a volume of 15,262,000 and price per share of 24.60 (1.14), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 14,190,500 of price per share of 58.64 (2.66), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 9,348,500 of price per share of 9.61 (0.08).

The top three advancers were Hinopak Motor with price per share 1585.50 (75.50), Millat Tractors with price per share of 1207.98 (57.52) and ICI PakistanXD share of 1081.69 (51.50).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7580.00 (220.00), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 3610.00 (190.00) and Unilever Foods share of 5701.00 (49.00).
