SHARJAH: Lahore Qalandars accomplish their third win against Islamabad United in the last over of the thrilling match by one wicket in the 14th match of Pakistan Super League at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Umer Akmal, Man of the match said, "Thanks to the coaching staff, they boosted me before this game. Pressure was there, but I had belief that I will take it to the end. Planned with Elliott to take it as deep as possible, and we wanted to play Irfan out for 6-7 runs per over and go after the others."
Winning Captain Brendan McCullum said, "Brilliant game to be part of, just like the other day when we scored 200. This time we came out the right side. It was tough to seperate the two teams, congrats to Misbah and his guys as well. Akmal is a huge player for us, he's a good strong leader in the field as well. Elliott is another key player, he showed us why he's world class. We've to give credit to the opposition for taking it deep into the game. But we managed to achieve it today, not too worried about the margin of victory."
