Pakistan has reached the Super Six stage of the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier, after overpowering Scotland by six wickets at Colombo Cricket Club ground on Tuesday.
Scotland was thrashed by Pakistani bowling unit, after the Scots were all out for just 91 runs in 39.1 overs.
Pakistan skipper Sana Mir was the star performer for her side, grabbing five wickets for just 14 runs with her off-spin bowling and leg-spinner Nashra Sandhu grabbed three for 13.
Pakistan then went on to chase the target in 28 overs, losing four wickets in the process, all to Scotland pace bowler Kiristie Gordon.
"Its always special to be contributing to the team. These performances are definitely going to help us in the next round, but the performances here have finished and now there would be a new day and we have to perform again," ICC-cricket quoted Sana Mir as saying.
In the Super Six stage, sides will now play qualifiers from the other group, India, Sri Lanka and Ireland advanced from Group A, while South Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh made it from Group B.
The top four at the end of this stage would qualify for the ICC Womens World Cup 2017 as well as the ICC Womens Championship.
