Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to form a judicial tribunal that would be headed by a senior judge to decide the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) corruption scandal.
PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan announced this while addressing the media on Monday. The chief said the PCB has already issued show-cause notices to Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif.
We have sent show cause notice to Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan, said Khan.
He further informed that fast bowler Irfan Khan is still under investigation. Irfan Khan is still under investigation, and he may also get the show cause notice, added Shahryar Khan
However, the two remaining players have been cleared, he added. Zulfiqar Babar and Shahzaib Hasan were questioned but have been cleared. Theres no action against them.
The cricket chief informed that those involved in corruption would not be tolerated. We will not let them go easily so they can play after four or five years, he added.
He further called for support to Pakistan Super League final set to be held in Lahore.
PSL final should get full support, it would be an embarrassment for us if the image of PSL is damaged.
