Four more die due to dengue in Punjab

LAHORE: Another four people have lost their lives due to dengue in Punjab including two in Lahore raising the death toll to 290 in Punjab and 253 in Lahore.

A spokesman of Health Department said on Friday that so far 19319 dengue patients have been cured and discharged from different hospitals in Punjab out of them 16489 patients discharged from the various hospitals of Lahore. The spokesman informed that 108 confirmed dengue patients have been reported during the last 24 hours thorough out the province out of them 92 have been reported in Lahore, thus the total number of confirmed reported dengue patients reached at 19614 during the last ten months of the current year out of them 16584 were reported in Lahore.

The spokesman further said that at present 927 dengue patients were under treatment in different hospitals of the Punjab out of them 741 admitted in different hospitals of Lahore.
