Shahid Afridi recently secured secure the release of 30 Pakistani prisoners, who had been detained in Dubai through his Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF).
I am very thankful to the Dubai Police Department, who have been very compassionate and graceful to initiate the release of Pakistani prisoners and to give them a chance to go back to their home country and to rebuild their life afresh, stated Afridi in his Facebook post.

The former captain who is in Dubai met with important figures including Gen Dhahi Khalfan Tamim Deputy CH police & security in Dubai and Dr Brg Mohd Almur Head of human rights in at the Dubai Police Head Quarters.
Afridi appreciated the role of Dubai police for providing assistance in his endeavor. Without the large heartedness and generous assistance of The Dubai Police Department, it would not be possible to provide a helping hand and to make a difference in the lives of so many people and to enable them to make a new start with their families, added Afridi.
Afridi has previously downplayed that he might try his hand in the countrys politics, as he is satisfied with serving his countrymen through his foundation.
