WWE wrestler Mustafa Ali, has been making headlines since he became the first wrestler of Pakistani origin to set foot in the square ring in 2016.
Ali, who has been nothing but impressive in WWE Cruiserweight division 205 Live, is quickly climbing the ranks as he pile up victories, owing to sound techniques and high flying style.
However, some fans from Pakistan are complaining as to why is not carrying Pakistani flag or getting it displayed on his entrance or costume, and questioning his patriotism towards his country of origin.
Ali having enough of that switched to social media to address the issue heads on, saying I "Fights for a ground breaking character that will help people of ALL backgrounds prosper and move past the limits of preconceived ideas" on Facebook.
The newest wrestling sensation, known for his epic finisher the Inverted 450 splash, was of the view that for him 'unity' is more important than 'nationality'.
"I don't mean to offend anyone. This is just me stating that I feel nationality doesn't define us as people, it seperates us. I want every single person to feel their background isn't something that will hold them back. I'm not trying to just represent one country. This is so much bigger than that. I don't "represent" any country. I represent unity. Yes, my family is from Pakistan. Yes, I was born in America. None of that defines me. Cool?"
