RECORDER REPORT: PSX mid day update

KARACHI: On Wednesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 47404.43 with a positive change of 483.96 and volume of 75,614,290 shares.

High and Low were 47424.56 and 46920.47 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 141,180,160 shares with 352 total traded companies out of which 214 were up, 128 were down and 10 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 25,481,800 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 23,548,650 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 17,511,000 and price per share of 9.29 (0.09), B.O.Punjab with a volume 8,978,000 of price per share of 17.87 (0.29), Dewan Cement with a volume 8,817,500 of price per share of 38.55 (1.32).

The top three advancers were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share 2590.87 (12.37), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1300.00 (55.40) and Shield Corp. share of 559.99 (24.49).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4650.00 (66.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1624.99 (25.01) and Mari Petroleum per share of 1384.00 (9.57).
