QUETTA: UK Deputy High Commissioner Francis Campbell has said that UK Trade Minister will visit Pakistan in month of January.
According to a handout issued here on Thursday, he said this during his meeting with Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani at Chief Minister Secretariat Quetta. UK Trade Director was also present on this occasion.
Mr. Campbell told the CM that UK had interest to invest in mining, trade and other sectors in Balochistan.
He said that UK Prime Minister David Cameron had underlined the need to boost trade volume between the two countries. He said the UK government would extend its cooperation to introduce Pakistani industrial products in European markets.
He said that members of Chamber of Commerce Quetta would be invited soon to visit England.
He said the UK would launch a programme in Pakistan to overcome deaths of children caused by pneumonia and diarrhea adding that it would be also extended to Balochistan province.
He said that steps would be taken to boost development process in Balochistan with collaboration of International Development Funding.
He added that the UK already had invested in power generation project of Hub Co in Balochistan.
