KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Friday having 46633.99 points with a negative change of 65.79 and volume of 105,413,660 shares.

High and Low were 46826.71 and 46443.22 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 229,381,520 shares with 380 total traded companies out of which 192 were up 163 were down and 25 were unchanged.

TRANSPORT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 40,216,500 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 31,532,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were Engro Polymer with a volume of 26,434,000 and price per share of 18.19 (0.67), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 6,275,000 of price per share of 9.25 (0.03), Jah.Sidd. Co. with a volume 5,381,500 of price per share of 23.58 (0.40).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 8400.00 (400.00), Bata (Pak) with price per share of 4781.79 (226.79) and Philip Morris Pak. share of 2506.25 (106.25).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4553.54 (100.90), Sapphire Tex. with price per share of 1290.00 (60.00) and Siemens Pak. share of 1499.43 (40.90).
