PESHAWAR: The PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has finalized programs to observe the ninth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27 (Tuesday) and celebration of birth anniversary of late Zulifiqar Ali Bhutto on January 5, 2017.
The programs will be held in the all districts of the province wherein homage would be paid to the Bhutto family.
A meeting to this effect was held here with PPP KP head Humayun Khan in the chair. The meeting was attended by city office bearers which held detailed review of the arrangements in this regard.
The meeting expressed firm resolve on the leadership of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PPP KP Chief Humayun Khan and vowed to play their key role in further strengthening the organizational structures of the province in the area.
Paying rich tributes to slain Benazir Bhutto for the promotion of democracy, human rights and services for the cause of the country, the meeting decided to observe the death anniversary in a befitting manner.
Quran Khwanis for the 'Eisal e Sawab' of late premier will be held across the province on December 27. PPP KP will make a full presentation in the main function of the death anniversary to be held in Garhi Khuda Baksh Larkana.
The meeting observed the provincial government in KP failed to deliver and all its electoral slogans proved mere an eye wash. The PPP always worked for strong federation and took the smaller federating units along in giving them their due rights.
The powers under 18th amendment were shifted to the provinces during PPP regime. The KP faced with financial crunch due to wrong policies of the PTI government.
