 KARACHI: The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) would explore the Nigerian market in order to find opportunities that abound for them and also called on their Nigeria counterparts to do same as there are a lot for them to get from Pakistan.

President of KCCI, Mian Abrar Ahmad during a meeting with some Nigerian delegates at 6th Expo Pakistan here urged Nigerian business community to liaise with the chambers and see how opportunities can be derived from the relationships.

"We are happy with the report given by our high commissioner in Nigeria about the people and business

environment and I promise that from now on we will start the move on how to explore Nigeria markets and maximize such exploration by promoting the bilateral trade relations between the two countries and

I believe it will be beneficial to all of us," Ahmad said according to a report by Nigerian newspaper Daily Trust.

He urged Pakistan envoy in Nigeria to keep the chamber informed on the progress on their move into Nigeria market likewise informing Nigerians about them as well. He promised to work on how both countries will create a joint chamber of commerce and trade for smooth running of their businesses.

He also invited Nigerians to be part of their upcoming exhibition 'My Karachi' usually organized by the Karachi chamber of commerce and industry every June where sales on the spot is allowed unlike the Expo Pakistan which is for only exporters and importers.

Some of the Nigeria delegations at the meeting promised to tap from the endless opportunity from Pakistan market and see what they can get in Nigeria for exportation to Pakistan and called for hastening up of the joint chamber of commerce and trade which they said will help in their relationships.
