ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Monday said the contribution of Raheel Sharif would be remembered forever for restoring peace in the country through successful operation against terrorism.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House he said that Pakistani nation and army were lucky to have such a brave and committed leader.
FATA has been cleared of terrorists through immense efforts of the army chief, the minister said.
Replying to a question, he said army is an institution and it does not matter who will be the next chief as the new one has to follow the institution's policy.
Media has played a major role by supporting Raheel Sharif in war against terrorism, Qadir said.
To another question, he said that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf have shown trust in the judiciary and they would accept the decision on Panama Papers, no matter in whose favour it is.
