Pakistan cricket team is currently present in New Zealand, as the team eyes to cement its legacy as a formidable Test side, by beating both New Zealand and Australia in their backyards.
However, things took an unexpected turn after a massive earthquake of magnitude 7.5 jolted the island on Sunday, the Pakistani cricket team are fortunately all safe and sound, but are still shaken by the earth rattling event.
“It was pretty scary, it really was,” said Pakistan cricket coach Mickey Arthur, reported TVNZ. “[The players] were a bit scared to go back up to their rooms,” he added.
The statement by Arthur reveals the mental agony the Pakistani players along with the rest of the New Zealand must have gone through. The players were woken up at midnight and were soon rushed to safety spots as the aftershocks continue to rattle down under.
Well Pakistani were not the only one left frightened and exhausted, many of the Black caps shared the same experience.
However, it is learnt that the Two Test match tour would go on, as the first Test match is marked to begin on Thursday 17th November, at the earthquake hit Christchurch.
