WARSAW: Poland's registered unemployment rate edged down to 8.2 percent in October from 8.3 percent in September, the labour ministry said on Tuesday. The ministry said there were 1.309 million registered unemployed last month, while companies submitted 115,000 job offers to labour offices.
"The unemployment rate should stand at 8.2-8.3 percent at the end of this year, or, in a pessimistic scenario, at 8.4 percent," Deputy Labour Minister Stanislaw Szwed told reporters.
