A meeting of board of directors of Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF) was held at Pakistan Horticulture Development & Export Board (PHDEB) head office on Monday, to discuss the working methodology and financial plan for the fiscal year 2005-06.
According to a PHDEB spokesman, the meeting was chaired by Sher Zaman Bazai, Chairman ASF. Various parameters of working strategy and financial plan for the year 2005-06 were approved.
The ASF has been established under the ADB Agribusiness Development & Diversification Project being executed by Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock (Minfal) and financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It will provide financial assistance and grant funding in the horticulture sub sector to eligible agribusiness enterprises, farmers and business development service providers with a view to speeding up the agribusiness activity and ultimately to enhance export of horticultural products.
