LAHORE: Another six people including three women died of dengue fever in different city hospitals on Friday, raising the death toll to 214.
Panicky patients with positive symptoms in their blood reports are continuously rushing to hospitals.
Today, 60-year old Abdul Ghafoor resident of Rajgarh, Nasir Bux (50) of Ichhra, Shafiq (25) of Sanda, Zainab (65) of Misri Shaha, Shafiq Talib (25) Sanda, Kaneez Fatima (55) of Sanda and Saba Zafar (30) Gulshan-e-Ravi, who were under treatment at special dengue wards of different hospitals lose battle against dengue fever.
According to health department statistics, during last 24 hours, 351 new dengue cases were reported in Punjab, raising the number of patients to 16,2341. With 248 new cases the number of dengue cases has risen to 14,123 in Lahore. Some 1,356 patients are under treatment in various hospitals in Punjab while over 1,698 have already been recovered.
