A book on diplomatic ties between India and Pakistan has been launched by the Oxford University Press (OUP).
An OUP Pakistan statement issued here on Friday said that the book entitled "Diplomatic Divide" has been written by two former ambassadors Humayun Khan and G. Parthasarathy and published by Roll Books India.
It said that being the first volume of publishing initiative entitle 'Cross Border talks', the book provides an insightful overview of significant political events which shaped the course of foreign policy and diplomatic ties between India and Pakistan as witnessed by the two authors who served as envoys to each other's country.
The book which is being marketed and distributed in Pakistan by the OUP covers the end of Cold War, the liberalisation of world trade, the growth of fundamentalism and the communications revolution.
The statement further said that the authors lucidly present their impressions of the key players in the two countries political arena-Indra Ghandhi, Rajiv Ghandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Ziaul Haq, Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif and General Pervez Musharraf.
