imagePakistan is ready to take up the stiff challenge in a Test series in England, young opening batsmen of Pakistan team Shan Masood and Sami Aslam are believe to perform well on England tour.

According to local media report, the left-handed opener Shan Masood said that he would take it as a challenge to face bowlers like Anderson and Stuart Broad during Pakistan’s tour of England next month. “We have to take this as a challenge and work hard,” he said.

“Similarly, I can also focus on improving and performing well on England’s pitches, which are generally considered to be a batsman’s nightmare,” he added.

Meanwhile, Sami Aslam, who had last played against Bangladesh in May 2015, said that he was feeling confident after scoring runs in domestic cricket. He also added he would not disappoint if given chance and success of team would depend on performances of openers in England.

Shan Masood, who looks forward to play all the 11 Tests Pakistan have in coming seven months, said that this would be a perfect opportunity for him to be consistent and make a name for the country. “It does help, but it will be different ball game at international level, everyone knows England team is very good and we have to take our A game there.”

However, opener Sami Aslam said representing Pakistan in England was an opportunity of a lifetime and that he intended to make the most of it.

A final Test squad is expected to be announced early next week, and the team will hold tune-up camp in England from June 15. Men in Green will play four Tests, five ODIs and one T20I during a 10-week long tour, which will begin with a tour match against county side Somerset on July 6 at Taunton.
