ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Ambassador to China Masood Khalid Saturday said various goals of the country's development would be achieved under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Various energy and infrastructure projects had been started under the CPEC which would bring economic development and progress in the country, he said while talking to PTV.
He said 65th anniversary of Pak-China diplomatic relations, which had sterngthened over the years, was being celebrated. The relations were at a defining stage, which would go further fast after the completion of CPEC project as per envisioned by the Chineese President, he added.
Energy projects, he said, would help fulfill electricity shortage in the country, while the Gwader port project was another milstone to be achieved under the CPEC.
The CPEC, besides bringing developmet in Pakistan, would also be a game changer for the entire region, he said.
Masood Khalid said the Pakistan government had taken all measures for the security of CPEC. Pakistan army was ensuring secrity of all the projects under CPEC.
To a question, he said foreign elements, who were trying to create hurdles in the mega project, would fail in their nefarious designs.
