Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships arrived at Port Qasim on Friday, September 16, two ships carrying containers at QICT and one ship at Berth No.2 to load Steel Product.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 57pc at the Port on Friday where a total of eight ships namely M.V GENIUS STAR X, M.V MOHAMMAD PRINCE, M.V ORIENT-II. M.V MSC ANAFI, M.V MAERSK DAVEN PORT, M.V ANVIL POINT, M.T BALTIC, M.T GAS HONOUR are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, steel product, containers, furnace oil, ethylene during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the port where a cargo volume 32058 tonnes, comprising 1441 tonnes, imports and 30617 tonnes exports, and 1920 (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

M.T GAS HONOUR, M.T BALTIC sailed on Friday evening M.V MAERSK DAVEN PORT and M.V MSC ANAFI, M.V ANVIL POINT sailed on Saturday morning.

M.T AL-SALLAM-II at FOTCO are expected to take berth on Saturday, September 17.
