imartysKARACHI: Former Federal Law Minister Senator Babar Awan here on Friday said that the present policy of reconciliation will remain in place to resolve all national issues.

In an informal talk with media, he said that the issues related to law and order in Karachi would be resolved through dialogue with all political parties and stakeholders.

"Solution of Karachi issue through any other way will not be fruitful, as proved in the past", he said adding "dialogue with all forces is the only way to resolve all national issues".

"We don't believe on coercion, we believe on dialogue", he maintained.

Dr.Awan said that the Government of Pakistan People Party (PPP) is pursuing the reconciliation policy according to the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to resolve long standing national issues in the country.

The Government had initiated dialogue with the stakeholders in Balochistan and announced special package for the people of the province.

He said the Government believes in freedom of press and took no action even on media trial of the Government launched by some media groups.

Dr. Babar Awan asked the people of Karachi not to pay heed to propaganda against the Government.

He said the Government will complete its 5-year constitutional tenure and contest next elections through seat adjustments with its coalition partners.
