DADU: Sindh Minister for Education, Pir Mazhar- ul- Haq distributed weekly ration, comprising dry food items and tents among the people of Rahan and Paat Sharif in Dadu district on Thursday.
The district that till Thursday morning received 170 mm rain has been considerably affected by the downpour, with most of its parts inundated and people deprived of shelter.
The Senior Minister of Sindh during his visit to rain hit areas also personally listened to the problems of the people and issued on the spot orders.
Residents of Paat Sharif told Pir Mazhar- ul- Haq that there existed no drainage system in the area and power breakdown has severely affected efforts to drain out water.
The minister directed the Public Health Engineer Syed Zahid Shah to look into the issue.
The EDO - Health, Dadu was ordered to ensure that doctors posted at rural health centers were necessarily available at the facilities and the rain victims were provided urgent medical assistance.
