ISLAMABAD: Air Force Day was observed on Wednesday to commemorate and remember the complete dominance and supremacy of the eagles of Pakistan Air Force over its Indian nemesis in 1965 War.
Pakistan Air Force created unmatched examples of courage and gallantry during the 1965 War: Intrepid Squadron Leader M. M. Alam downed four India fighter jets in a dog-fight in the sky within a few minutes.
Pakistan destroyed a total of 104 fighter aircrafts of India Air Force while it lost just 19 aircrafts in the war. The eagles of Pakistan Air Force totally humiliated Indian army which dreamt of having its breakfast in Lahore.
Chavinda, near Pakistani city of Sialkot turned into graveyard of Indian tanks while Pakistan Air Force made its Indian counterpart as well as Indian Army bite the dust.
The day is celebrated to remember the heroic valor and gallantry of Pakistan Air Force 46 years ago.
