Apparently S&M is not the only topic of general interest. A new book in town which deals largely with physics is riding waves that have overtaken the success of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Seven Brief Lessons on Physics by Carlo Rovelli is a hit despite its topic of physics. The book deals which deals with quantum gravity by merging theories of Isaac Newton’s gravity and Albert Einstein’s relativity is only 78 pages long and in simplified English. The success of this book largely depended on its ability to portray simple physics lessons without technical jargon.
The book has been generating praises worldwide with Nicola Davis, editor of Tech Monthly reporting in Guardian "Rovelli has a rare knack for conveying the top line of scientific theories in clear and compelling terms without succumbing to the lure of elaborate footnotes."
The spectator reported that Seven Brief Lesson on Physics has sold more copies in Rovelli's native country, Italy, than E.L. James' smash hit Fifty Shades of Grey.
Given the dry topic that physics is, it is surprising that a book in science category has overtaken a book in ‘a category more appealing to general populace.’ There is hope for humanity after all.
