ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Justice (r) Javed Iqbal.
In his condolence message, the minister said that in his death Pakistan has lost a beacon of intellect and wisdom.
During his life, Javed Iqbal gave authentic explanation of Iqbal's poetry in its true spirit.
The minister said that the deceased was an enlightened person, who throughout his life fought against ignorance and rotten traditions through his writings and speeches.
He prayed to Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
