MADRID: Spanish share prices slumped 3.21 percent in early trade Friday as fears the world is teetering on a new recession gripped investors.
After 40 minutes, the IBEX-35 index of top shares dropped 267.4 points to 8,050.3 points. Big losers included fashion giant Inditex down 4.69 percent, insurer Mapre down 4.56 percent and Banco Santander down 4.30 percent.
