turkish_stockISTANBUL: The Turkish equities dropped on Friday after concerns about a global slowdown oriented skittish investors into safer assets.

The main Istanbul share index was down 3 percent to 50,392.16 points underperforming the MSCI emerging markets index, which was down 2.7 percent. Turkish equities closed down 4.2 percent on Thursday.
