LONDON: Europe's leading stock markets slid further in early trading on Friday after the region's equities had plunged the previous day on growing fears of a fresh recession for the world economy.
London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares slumped 1.25 percent to 5,028.14 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 1.46 percent to 5,521.22 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 2.07 percent to 3,010.34.
