QUETTA: An oil tanker was gutted when it got fire after attack by some unidentified persons here in the Mian Gundi, a suburb of provincial capital, police said on Wednesday.

The oil tanker, carrying logistics for the forces stationed in Afghanistan was on its way from Karachi when unidentified armed men intercepted the vehicle and opened indiscriminate fire on it.

Resultantly, it got fire and gutted. The crew remained unhurt.

Police, reached the site and cordoned off the entire area and started search of the culprits.

Further investigation was underway.
