europeanLONDON: European equities fell in opening deals on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.31 percent at 5,911.07 points.

Elsewhere, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.49 percent to 7,315.75 points and in Paris the CAC 40 slid 0.35 percent to 3,774.54.
