MOSCOW: Russian oil refinery runs in November rose by 4.8 percent month-on-month or 274,076 barrels per day (bpd) after autumn seasonal maintenance, data from the Energy Ministry and Reuters calculations showed.
Refineries processed 5.985 million barrels of crude oil per day in November versus 5.712 million in October.
The Syzran and Angarsk refineries, owned by Rosneft , increased their capacity in November by 58 percent to 661,600 tonnes and by 35.4 percent to 917,200 tonnes, respectively, after planned maintenance.
So did Gazprom` Salavat refinery and Gazprom Neft` Omsk refinery, where oil processing were up by 53.9 percent and 15.9 percent, respectively.
A small fire in the beginning of November at the pumping unit of a visbreaker at crude distillation unit-6 on Saratov refinery, owned by Rosneft, was quickly extinguished and did not affect the normal production.
Unplanned maintenance on a visbreaker of Saratov refinery lasted only two days.
Total gasoline production at Russian refineries rose 11.8 percent in November to 107,890 tonnes per day, Reuters calculations showed. Gasoil production was up 8.7 percent month-on-month at 217,090 tonnes per day.
Fuel oil output increased 5 percent in November to 226,887 tonnes per day, while jet kerosene production was down by 9.8 percent to 26,487 tonnes per day.
Year-on-year November refinery runs were up by 5.3 percent or 301,165 bpd.
Year-on-year overall November gasoline output fell slightly by 0.6 percent. Gas oil and fuel oil production were up by 9.1 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively, while jet kerosene output was down 1.8 percent.
