TOKYO: Deliveries against the July rubber futures contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange rose 18 percent from June to 172 lots or 860 tonnes, the exchange said on Monday.
June deliveries were 146 lots or 730 tonnes.
The July TOCOM rubber futures contract expired at 375.1 yen per kg, down 0.8 percent from the June contract's 378.0 yen expiry price.
The benchmark December contract settled at 381.9 yen on Monday, up 0.8 yen on the day.
The newly listed January 2012 contract will be the benchmark when it starts trading on Tuesday.
