Youngsters get a taste of acting in 'A Little Drama'

ISLAMABAD: A number of youngsters learnt the art of acting by a Germany-based instructor in a three-day workshop of drama acting entitled “A Little Drama” here Thursday.

The training was organized at Kuch Khaas, Centre for Arts, Culture and Dialogue.

The Germany-based expert, Julia Schweers conducted the workshop designed for youngsters interested in acting and had little or no experience in the field.

During various sessions of the course, the participants will learn warm-up techniques, watch and listen and use mind and body to act out different characters.

Youngsters with different educational backgrounds are among the participants of the workshop that will provide them with a platform to show their talent and devotion for acting, said the organizers.

Julia Schweers has studied social and cultural work in Holland with drama and dance as main subjects.

During and after her studies she used drama as a professional instrument in her work with different target groups in social projects in both Europe and Africa.

She has also been a member of a theatrical crew.
