Indian firing kills nine Pakistanis in Sialkot

imageSIALKOT: Nine people, including three members of a family, were killed and 33 others injured seriously by unprovoked shelling of Indian Border Security Forces in Charwah, Bajra Garhi, Harpal, Meraajkey, Sucheetgarh, Bajwat and Chaprar of the Sialkot Working Boundary during Eid Days.

As per details, people were busy for Eid prayers early on Monday morning when the Indian BSF started massive unprovoked mortal shelling in Dhamaala-Charwah, Gandiyaa, Rangor, Tulsipur, Sapwaal, Joiyaan, Bajra Garhi, Beeni Sulehriyaan, Baghiyaari, Anula, Harpal, Khokhar, Salaankey, Sukmaal, Daalowali, Thathi, Thathi Khurd, Meendarwal and surrounding villages.

Indian mortar shells killed Muhamamd Saleem, 45 of Tulsipur-Charwah and three members of a family, including Saleema Bibi, 65 and her two minor grand-sons Hamaad, 6, and Adeel, 4.

In Charwah-Sialkot, farmer Abdul Razzaq of Lal Din was killed by shelling at his house. In Chaprar village, Muhammad Asif and Ghulam Shabir were killed by shelling.

Asif was martyred as he was sitting in his house when Indian shells hit and killed him. In Chak Sokhaa-Harpal, Shamas Din (45) was martyred when Indian shells hit him while moving towards a safer place.

More than 33 people, including innocent children and women, were injured seriously by Indian shelling in the Sialkot border villages. The Injured were shifted to Combine Military Hospital (CMH) Sialkot where condition of more than 13 injured were stated to be critical.

Sector Commander Chenab Rangers Sialkot Brig Waseem has confirmed all the above-mentioned deaths, injuries, death of cattle and massive damages of houses by Indian BSF.

He said the Chenab Rangers had also retaliated effectively and responded in befitting manners.

Talking to the newsmen at the Chenab Rangers (Headquarters) here on Wednesday, Brig Waseem added that Indian BSF was targeting civilian population in the border villages, violating the Ceasefire Accord.

Meanwhile, Director General Pakistan Rangers Punjab Mag.Gen Tahir Javaid Khan visited the Indian-shelling-hit villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary.

Officials of the Chenab Rangers gave him detailed briefing about the unprovoked Indian shelling.
