hongkong-stock-exchangeHONG KONG: Hong Kong surged 1.78 percent on Monday morning, in line with regional gains, following another strong rally in New York at the end of last week.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 398.05 points to 22,796.15 on turnover of HK$41.56 billion ($5.34 billion).
