LONDON: European stock markets climbed in opening deals on Thursday, with London's FTSE 100 index up 0.37 percent to 5,877.74 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.22 percent to 7,310.34 points and in Paris the CAC 40 advanced 0.33 percent to 3,937.26.
