KARACHI: Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhter Farooqui has said that better lighting arrangements should be made on the routes of main Youm-e-Ali procession besides the provision of all possible facilities for participants of the procession.
He said this while addressing a meeting in old KMC building here, said a statement on Wednesday.
Among other the meeting was attended by the administrators and municipal commissioners of different districts, municipal corporations and officers from Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and others.
The Administrator on this occasion directed to the district municipal corporations to make appropriate arrangements to facilitate the participants of small processions of Youm-e-Ali (R.A) and provide all municipal facilities to these processions in their respective areas.
He also directed to officials of Water Board to immediately solve the problems of leakage of water and sewerage lines near the routes of Youm-e-Ali processions.
He said we all should work together in providing better
facilities to participants of the Youm-e-Ali procession.
The Youm-e-Ali (R.A), martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (R.A), will be observed on Ramazan 21.
