SHANGHAI: Chinese stocks were higher in morning trade Thursday, in line with rises in US stocks overnight, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.19 percent, or 3.88 points, to 2,029.38.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.29 percent, or 3.12 points, to 1,067.35.
