PPP to uphold democratic norms: Gilani
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yosuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan People's Party will uphold democratic and parliamentary norms in the upcoming budget session of the Punjab Assembly despite demonstration of undemocratic and indecent attitude of the opposition.
He said that the government is pursuing the policy of political reconciliation in line with the vision of Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Ms Faryal Talpur, MNA, who called on him at the PM House Tuesday evening. Political situation and matters related to budget came under discussion during the meeting.
Ms Faryal Talpur appreciated the leadership of the Prime Minister for presentation of a balanced budget despite difficult economic conditions.
