KARACHI:-Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday said Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a leader of international stature and her struggle for the cause of democracy is a guiding-light for the political activists around the globe, particularly, for those who belong to Pakistan.
He was addressing a meeting held at CM House to discuss the arrangements in connection with the 58 birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, said a statement.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who is also the President PPP Sindh, said Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had rendered unforgettable sacrifices for the cause of democracy in the country.
He recalled that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto during her both tenures as prime minister of Pakistan had served the masses and launched exemplary projects for development of the country and welfare of the public.
The Sindh CM said more than 3 million people accorded a very warm welcome to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her return to the homeland on October 18, 2007.
He said the present government is striving under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari to complete the mission and program of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Earlier, the meeting held a detailed discussion on arrangements to celebrate the 58th birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on June 21, with respect and enthusiasm.
The Sindh CM directed office bearers of all bodies of the party across Sindh to fully celebrate the birth anniversary Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and start their arrangement in this regard.
He also directed them to highlight various aspects of the life and struggle of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to pay homage to the great leader.
