Gas supply to 600 industrial units suspended
FAISALABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has suspended gas supply to more than 600 industrial units of Faisalabad for next 72 hours.
The gas suspension is a part of gas load management schedule according to which industrial units of Faisalabad have to experience gas outage for 72 hours in a week while gas supply of CNG stations was suspended for 48 hours in a week.
Salamat Ali Chairman Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMEA) North Zone in a statement said here on Thursday that forced and unprecedented outage of gas and electricity paralyzed the entire business activities.
He said that industrial sector of Faisalabad is facing forced gas load shedding for the last 9 months, "We have repeatedly requested the SNGPL authorities to exempt industrial sector from gas load management schedule."
