President condemns Gujrat bus blast

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the bomb blast in a passenger bus at Chak Kamala near Kharian in District Gujrat on Saturday evening, in which a number of people were killed and injured.

The President in a message expressed deep grief and shock over the loss of innocent lives, prayed for the departed souls and conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims.

He directed the authorities concerned to ensure the provision of best medical care to the injured.

The President also reiterated the government's resolve to fight the menace of terrorism and extremism to the end.
