ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Saturday hailed the holding of in-camera session of the Parliament, which was unprecedented as all the parties sat together to discuss a national issue.
He said that in the present circumstances, Pakistan Muslim League (N) leaders should avoid criticizing institutions, which he added, were playing an important role in the larger interest of the country.
Talking in a private news channel programme, he said that developing consensus by all the parties on a national issue at the joint session of Parliament was an excellent move and the credit went to the PPP-led government.
The federal minister said that if any party is going against the sitting government, it is obvious that it is playing politics eying the next elections.
Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Information Minister, while speaking in the programme, said that it was time to sit together for the larger interest of the country and issuing of statements against institutions by the PML-N leaders was unfair in the present scenario.
Marvi Memon of PML-Q, participating in the debate, said that evolving consensus by the political parties in the joint session was a good omen.
She flayed unparliamentary language used by the PML-N leaders.
She said that the armed forces and the ISI were back-bone of the country's security, which must be supported by all.
